A SAGA

Well, haven't been very active with this, but I still have a passion for CGA. Here is my idea. Cocaine Guns and Ammo-(A three part saga)!

Don't call me a copy cat, because it's been done in several instances. The most common being Lucas, but of course we can't over look the Amory Wars with Coheed and Cambria. Enough with this, let me lay it down how it is.

Part I- "A Hero Can Save Us"- This being the origin of Grover, I have at least one entry devoted to this already

Part II- "Evil Government"- My favorite part. If I was going to sell the screenplay of CGA I would undoubtedly choose Part 2. Basically, everything I've written excluding the origin fits with the plot of Evil Government. It starts with Schmuck being the main character and follows his growth into the commander of Ghost Forces. That's right, I plan to have Schmuck take over with Rio at his side. I've also revealed the Saving Tree and the death of Grover, so that should be no surprise to anyone (unless you don't read my posts!). As Schmuck assumes the role of commander, I plan to have Ghost and Allied Armed Forces have one huge battle at Fort Alliance. This battle looms in the near future at the end of Evil Government.

Part III- "Survival of The Fittest (This is War)"- The title says it. The showdown in Fort Alliance Consumes this part, that and the Months leading up to it. I plan to put flashbacks in this part of the saga, before Evil Government and before Schmuck met Grover. Also, in the months before the war Schmuck proposes to Rio and a wedding is held. The wedding is near the start of Survival of the Fittest and is sort of a bitter sweet type of event. Traditionally part three is the longest. Well, in CGA it's the shortest. (SPOILER) Don't read past this sentence if you don't want to know the ending of CGA's three part saga. READY? I plan to have Schmuck pass in the battle of Fort Alliance. Because of this sacrifice, the Ghost Forces will emerge victorious. I find the death of Schmuck as a non-traditional twist to the story. Normally, a character as established as Schmuck would not be killed off, but Rio would. Anyway I am satisfied with my tentative ending and believe it helps clinch the saga.

I am really getting carried away with myself in this post, but if there was ever going to be a story after the story, I think a "Rio based" chronicle would be, well, awesome. I feel like a follow up story called "Def Rio" would fall into place with the conclusion of CGA.

Finally, if a movie/book/album ever came of this saga I have created, I like the idea of "evil eyes" as the cover of Evil Government. This picture might help you visualize what I'm thinking.

Cheers

I wonder why he doesn't have any friends.

Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?

As Schmuck and Rio enter the Underground, there is a group of rebels leaving for an assault on Fort Alliance. Grover introduces the two to Betty and Claudio and joins the battalion. The four of them tour the sewers and learn that at this point in the war the Underground is simply a disrupting force against the AAF. They burn, break, and terrorize the military. Schmuck and Rio begin to feel that the Rebels are nothing but a bunch of crazy lunatics with an obsession for chaos. Nobody appears to be sane, especially Betty and Claudio who were once married but are now separated by their bitter attitudes towards the war. Finally they meet someone who has a hold of his fricken marbles. Holden Caulfield, battle strategist, befriends Rio and Schmuck and explains his affiliation with the Ghost Forces.

Dialogue

Schmuck-"So is everyone here insane or what?"
HC-"Yes."
Rio-"So, Holden...did you like that book?"
HC-"Nope."
Rio-"Ah"
Schmuck-"CATCHER IN THE RYE?"
HC-"Shut up, kid"
Rio-"Why are we here Holden?"
HC-"I don't know why you're here, Rio. But I know why your boyfriend is."
Rio-"He's hardly me boyf-"
Schmuck-"Why does everyone know who I am!?"
HC-"Because your grandfather was a genius."
Schmuck-"...So you know about my condition?"
HC-"You're not the only one that has it."

Random Update

Not a lot of new stuff, just wanted to put a post up to say I put a post up. Two songs that I've been listening to a lot lately are "What a Shame" by Shinedown on the Sound of Madness record, and "Everyday is Exactly the Same" by the Nine Inch Nails. The reason these songs intrigue me is because they are fascinatingly similar to the plot of CGA. I wish I had written them. "What a Shame" depicts the tale of Grover's demise and "Everyday is Exactly the Same" is simply Schmuck's anthem. While Claudio Sanchez and Coheed are my main influences, I applaud these two artists and recognize them as an inspiration to my ballad.

CHAPTER UNDERGROUND

The underground is quite literally an underground radical establishment who's purpose is to terrorize and infiltrate Conformist military efforts. Hundreds of people make up the underground, and the two people that coordinate the movement are Claudio Armstrong and Betty Walker. Their opposite views balance out tactical strategies. This is where Rio and Schmuck meet many important characters (yet to come). They also learn of the supreme leader of the Ghost Forces.

Chapter Def Rio

So basically I've got the scene written, but I'm not putting it up here. Nothing too interesting about it. Chapter Def Rio is all about the beginning of a romance between Schmuck and Def Rio...which is really generic and probably not something I want to make an impression with. As you know, Schmuck finds Rio on the side of the road and takes her home (10pm). He comforts her and tells her how he feels yada yada yada then Chapter Revenge happens. Grover returns and tells both of them to follow him to the Underground.

Chapter Pre Underground

After his training had been complete, Grover explained that Schmuck would need to complete a series of field missions. Until then, he was to lie low and and live his Conformist life. Months went by and there was no sign of Grover. Schmuck was beginning to think he was dead, quite literally dead.

Summertime came around and Schmuck was a mess. He had nothing in his life except Rio. Day after day he would dream of fighting for the Rebellion, but he would also think about her. What a dreamer. His visions turned into thoughts of pessimism and soon to apathy...

One night Schmuck gets invited to a party. He leaves his house at 10pm.

Chronologically-Succeeding *Chapter Pre Underground*

Chapter Revenge

This chapter starts at the end of 10-pm in the perspective of Grover. He sees the damage done to Rio and becomes furious. In his rage he says "General Radelki, you will pay for this..." Grover then flees to the Radelki residence to do what must be done. Upon his entry, he sees Rachel Radelki in a similar state as her daughter. She sits in the living room, crying. Suddenly she notices the shadowy figure that had appeared. Her weeping immediatly stops as she stares at Grover. She remembers. "Robert?" He stares back at her for what seems like forever. A loud noise. General Radelki stumbles into the room, drunk as usual. Upon seeing Grover, his anger turns into fear. He attempts to flee, but there is no point...

It has been done, General Radelki was dead and Grover had disapeared forever. He thinks back to his days in Chicago, and he thinks of Rachel. Those were good times. How could this happen to her, how could he let it happen? She was foolish to be with him. There was no hope for her. There was, however, hope for his granddaughter...Rio.

Who is Who

If you haven't picked up on it yet, Ares Gordon, Schmuck's grandfather, is the scientist who engineered the ability and rebuilt Grover. Also it should be noted the ability was not directly given to Schmuck. Ares had been murdered by AAF years before Schmuck had been born. The ability procedure had been first tested on Emily Gordon, the mother of Schmuck and the daughter of Ares. She was drugged with the engineered medicine in her youth. Emily passed on the ability to her son, but never learned to use it herself.

The Ability

Burred visions. Shapes, but no objects. A rush, gratuitous amounts of adrenaline.

He awakes again in the Camper Headquarters, which is ironically a bar. Taking a look around, he sees the dead mercenary sitting peacefully in the corner of the room, slouched up against the wall. The rest of the Campers were scattered about the room. Suddenly he remembers. He clumsily sprints towards the door and reclaims his weapons. Busting through the exit, he looks left then right. There she was. Leaning on one of the dumpsters, smoking a cigarette. "He dead?" Rio asks with a hint of laughter. He nods slowly, confirming it. "Calm down, let's go home."

The Saving Tree

Bullets started flying everywhere in the open plain. Schmuck fires back and Rio runs for the Willow tree. She makes it. Schmuck follows, firing shots for his protection. After he is sheltered behind the trunk, he looks back. Grover is charging the enemy. Schmuck yells to him, but his voice is drowned in the sound of rounds being unloaded. The bullets tear through his body once again. Grover persists until his lifeless body falls to the earth. Schmuck whispers to himself, “you will not be forgotten.”

Chapter Schmuck

Conformity is Schmuck's curse. He is on the wrong side of the war. Imagine living in a society that lives by a philosophy that you don't have faith in. That can't end well.

Grover essentially kidnaps Schmuck to bring him to his place of refuge, his place of hiding. An abandoned warehouse is pretty generic, but the abundance of them makes it perfect. He explains who he is, but not where he came from. Grover mentions Schmuck's grandfather Ares Gordon and "The Ability" briefly, but does not offer any hints on using it. He put's Schmuck under again, and when he awakes he is in his school parking lot, sleeping in the back seat of his vehicle.

The next day Grover instructs Schmuck to take him to the warehouse again. There he explains his intents and "the ability" further. Grover insists that 3 months of physical training is essential. After peak physical training has been achieved, 3 more months of mind strengthening will also be required. Only then will Schmuck be ready to use his ability, his gift.

6 months

The ability is controlled by emotions, as one might suspect. Any emotion that is focused enough will allow the mutation to happen. Grover cautions the use of anger. While it may be stronger, controlling it is quite difficult. He explains that he knows this because of his association with Ares, which is true.
"That's all it is? Why couldn't you have told me this before?"
Schmuck attempts to use the ability but fails.

Spit Head Sandwich

Another hobby of mine is composing music. Spit Head Sandwich is a concept band that writes songs about the Cocaine Guns and Ammo series. Check out our purevolume website. The recorded single titled 10-pm describes the chapter in the series where Schmuck finds Rio walking on the side of the road and takes her home. Rio had been beaten by her father, General Redelki of the Conformist army.

Origin

The saga begins with a man named Robert Grover. He dedicates his life to protecting a nation's well being (even though he sees them as mindless and greedy beings). Day to day he roams the streets, fighting injustices. He is the guardian of Chicago. One day he comes across a terrorist plot organized by the government. Grover chooses to ignore the plot, as he has faith in the government, but wants nothing to do with the attack. He flees to China. Years later the attack takes place, just as he suspected. This attack is of much greater magnitude than he originally thought, and his faith in the government is shaken. Grover returns to form an underground rebellion he names the radicals. After years of planning, he sacrifices himself to reveal the government-terrorist plot and make the administration look like ruthless murderers.

Grover dies in front of the Capital building by sniper fire...

The nation is torn into two factions. Those who want to help in the radical rebellion, and those who promote Conformity and the established government. The Alliance Armed Forces combat the Ghost Forces for power.

A member of the original rebellion named named Ares Gordon or "the scientist" recovers Grover's remains and, quite literally, rebuilds him. This being done, Grover lives his second life as a scarred beast.

He seeks the one to help him in his vendetta...

Cocaine Guns and Ammo

I am currently writing a series for my new band Spit Head Sandwich. We are a concept band and our music will be composed to tell the story...

We have recently decided to follow our influences and become a concept band. The music composed will follow a storyline from our series called Cocaine Guns and Ammo. Preview: Characters: -Schmuck -Def Rio -Bob Grover Plot: The nation is in turmoil. They have been divided into two factions, conformists (Alliance Armed Forces) and the radicals (Ghost Forces). The dispute between philosophies has spawned civil war.

I will be updating this blog with ideas, lyrics, anything. Suggestions always welcome.
